About us
Urbem Design is a research and action lab dedicated to understanding territories in their ecological multiplicity. We cultivate a dynamic space where knowledge and design shape and transform each other.
Our collaborative consultancy focuses on developing urban frameworks and design strategies for Peruvian landscapes.
Urbem Design was founded by Saraí Huamán, a Peruvian designer whose work integrates architecture and urban design through inquiry and practice. She is a B.Arch. candidate at Rice University, where she earned a B.A. in Architecture with minors in Environmental Studies and Sociology, and received the Distinction in Research and Creative Work Award, among other academic honors.
Our current team is a collective of young designers passionate about design rooted in service, answering a calling for healing.
